Fibre-Glass Carrier

Fiber glass resistors are mainly used where compact dimensions, reliable electrical properties, and economical design are required. In the case of the smallest resistor types, these are in most instances wire-wound power resistors, in which the resistance wire is wound on a fiberglass carrier body. This allows particularly space-saving resistors to be realized for numerous industrial and automotive applications. 

Wire-wound resistors on fiberglass carriers are suitable for use as series resistors, control resistors, damping resistors, or radio interference suppression resistors. They are distinguished by their high reliability, stable electrical characteristics, and a wide range of resistance values. Depending on the design, axial or radial leads as well as different power and resistance ratings are available. The products are used, among other things, in automation technology, power electronics, energy technology, mechanical engineering, and automotive applications.

KRAH offers various types of fiberglass-carrier resistors for industrial and automotive applications. These include compact wire resistors of the SFD and SFR series as well as special radio interference suppression resistors for ignition systems in the automotive sector.
